shu uemura at liberty

Yesterday I attended a shu uemura masterclass, where the lovely Mei Rees talked us through the new collection from shu uemura which was inspired my chocolate! The sweet little makeup palettes all named after yummy chocolate flavours looked edible and were so sweet; in colours such as mint, pistachio, chocolate and caramels tones. We were given a goody bag which included samples of their moisturizing cream, intense vitualising concentrate, radiance boosting lotion and what i have my eye on to purchase in full size their immediate radiance skin perfecting cream. Also in the goodie bag was a pot of firming anti-ageing cream and of course their famous oil cleansers (i have the brightening and the advance formula.) I then purchased a full size moisturizing lotion enriched which is used after you cleanse, this is basically deep water sea that is very cold but packed with minerals, Mei was talking of how the colder your skin the longer your makeup will last. Can't wait to give all these products a try, if my skin was human it would be hugging me right now!

mac sumptuous olive tutorial

hello!! so I have returned with a smokey eye tutorial, I purchased sumptuous olive quite a long time ago (I actually included it in a haul which was one of my first videos on YouTube) I was attracted to it as it looked so pretty in the pan but hadn't used it until now, so glad i've finally used it and it's really opened a door to me wearing more green on my eyes. Here is the video; hope you enjoy!

august glossybox 2012

I recently signed up for glossybox and am not looking back! Glossybox is a beauty box that includes 4/5 samples that is sent out monthly for a price of £10 a month. They also do special one off boxes that you can purchase for a fixed price. I was drawn to the idea of subscribing to glossybox as I thought it would be a great idea to give me a chance to test products that I maybe wouldn't have purchased or heard about, I suppose in a way it's a chance to be cultured into the beauty world. The packaging is also really beautiful and I now get so excited when one comes through my door!

The box this month was themed international; and here is what I got!

deep cleansing oil by DHC - (a water soluble cleanser that removes makeup) I have never tried a cleansing oil before and haven't used this yet either but I cannot wait to do so, and like i said before glossybox is a great way of trying new products out!

lipcote by 'lipcote' - This is a clear mixture that you put on after your lipstick and is meant to prolong the wear of it. I use to use this a lot when wearing red to keep that 'just applied look'.

pro white by 'alessandro' - this is a clear nail polish (was so so excited when I saw this) it says it has an anti-yellow formula, i wore it the other day and really liked it, it isn't completly clear, it has a slight blue tinge to it. it definitely makes your nails look healthy and glossy but in a low key kind of way.

l'ombre a paupiere margarita by 'vera valenti' - this is a great little palette that holds 10 different eyeshadow shades. when looking for the first time I liked the idea of the green eyeshadows but swatched them and the pigmentation is not great at all, may need a little patience and building of colour!

eve's balm by 'all for eve for the eve appeal' - this is a great little pot of lip balm that has found a home by my bedside table. it has the smell of carmex and leaves me lips really smooth, really like that it has a mirror too.

glossybox lipstick by 'glossybox' - this is my favourite product of them all, i have been wearing this everyday, it's a rosy/natural pink, it hasn't got great staying power but i suppose that's where the lipcote comes in!
