La Roche-Posay cleansing milk, I love you

I bought this on a whim as I had run out of my normal stuff, (you know when you have all the skincare products you need but then slowly one runs out and then the other and so forth, and you end up with slight holes in your routine.) Well this happened to me and at the best time, in January when my skin is at it's most dry! Yay! So in the back of my mind I needed to get a cleanser, and not enough time to order online or go into town, I popped into boots remembering that they sell La Roche-Posay products, thinking why not give them a go as they are always highly recommended, I picked up this milky delight due to needing hydration but also fast!

I have been so use to using Shu Uemura's oil cleanser that it seemed weird not washing it off, I kept thinking really?, really? but I gave it a go anyway, and straight away I was so glad I bought this. My skin felt like it had been injected with 100 litres of water (in a good way). It left it feeling really plump, soft and radiant which was crazy and very impressive as it really was at rock bottom.

On dry skin I apply one pump with a cotton wool pad and dot it onto my face. The idea is it takes of all your makeup but I always like to use this cleanser just to purely cleanse. You can use it once to remove makeup and then again but I think this is a waste of product, so whenever washing my face I will always use a makeup wipe first - something I have done since I was a teenager and never really stopped.

If you are interested in looking at my skin routine here it is but I am slightly embarrassed about including this link as it was quite a long time ago when I did this post, my routine as changed and the images are crap but you are more than welcome to have a look anyway... maybe I'll do an updated skincare routine if you are interested?

Have you tried any La Roche-Posay products? If so let me know what you have tried, as I really want to try more. I've got a keen eye on their thermal spring water and bb cream next.

  1. This looks so good. Would it be suitable for young, oily skin? If not I'll have to recommend it to my mum! Love the gif at the top by the way- your nail polish looks pretty!

    1. Hi Katie, thank you very much. The cleansing milk is mainly to be used for dry/sensitive skin. I think something like the LRP effacular foaming cleanser would be better for your skin type, I haven't tried it so I don't know what it's like.... Definitely look into it before buying! X

  2. I'd love to see an updated skincare routine from you! I have the Effaclar Duo from La Roche Posay and it is really good at keeping blemishes away!
