HI HONEY!

All photos by Adam Ings

I recently found the most 'as close to being french pharmacy' I could get without splurging on a Eurostar ticket thanks to these two lovely ladies Lily and Anna who tweeted about it. The place in question is called Zest and is located on Broadwick Street in London.

One of the first brands I saw when walking in was Nuxe. I had never tried anything from them before but had heard so much about their Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip balm . I had a slight gap in my collection for balms for the lips, especially all natural ones. Most balms I have are packed full with petroleum which I hate or tinted. So this was a must for me as the active ingredients contain; Honey, plant oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence. What I absolutely love about this product is it's extremely soft to use and completely takes away any sort of lines I have on my lips. It completely brings the suppleness back to them. I want to say it plumps but not in a scary 'I just had my lips injected' kind of way. A very very natural way. I use this throughout the day quite sparingly and then just before I go to bed with a more heavier hand as it works brilliant for a all night moisture, when I wake my lips feel insanely smooth.

The actual texture of it I'm a massive fan of but it might not be for everyone as it's quite distintive. I was trying to think of the best way to describe it and what I can only think of is imagining semi-set honey where it is a little gristly but still soft, (and no way sticky!)

Rêve de Miel, translating as 'dream of honey' is a line that they have specialising in Nourishment. What I found rather interesting while researching on their website was the testing they had done for this product that speaks for itself; 'With its formula tested in extremely cold conditions in Canada, comfort is restored to chapped lips (96%**). They are nourished (82%**), repaired (96%**) and protected (91%**).
*Use test carried out under dermatological supervision on 22 volunteers over 28 days in extreme climate conditions in Canada - % of volunteers who agreed with the claim.'

At Zest I purchased this little pot of wonder for £10 but on the website it sells for £9.50. I'm planning on getting a couple more now as I love it so much.

Have you tried any other Nuxe products that you could recommend to me?
